I have received my school education in both Saudi private and public schools.I went on to study at the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, where I majored in Sociology.I have started as a teacher and then eversince I have done different jobs within
the scholastic management, from principal's deputy to headmistress to instructor of Sociology in the Presidency of Girls' Education .Then I went on to being the Head of the Statistics Department in the same Presidency. After that I became the Head of Personell in Higher Education, and from that time till now I am an administrator of Further Education in Girls' College.
I have two grown sons.
Special word of advice:During my travels I have been approached with questions about the muslim woman's dress, and I would always tell them that we dress the way we do because it is our religion that orders us to do so.In Islam a woman is a jewel, therefore she must be well-preserved.In the days of old Arabs used to bury the baby girl and be so proud when they had sons, but not anymore,Islam has given women their rights.
It is not new for muslim women to be leaders or to be fruitful, for behind every great man there is a woman,we were and will always be the ones who are the cause of the Ummah's progress.Eversince the days of the prophet Muhammad there were many famous women ,I remember two:
-Khawlah bint Al-azwar:who has battled bravely and was a strong support to the Muslim forces in her time.
-Asmaa bint Abi Bakr: Who has defied the non-believers when she took food to the Prophet (sala Allahu alyhi wasallam) and her father Aabu Bakr, when they were hiding in the cave waiting for the time to go to Madeenah.
PROFILE of UmmMansoor
Occupation:Dean of Girls'College of Arts
I am married and I have six children. My marriage did not obstruct my studies,on the contrary,I was able to continue my higher education, after my marriage with the support of my husband and children.
I have received all of my education in Saudi public schools and colleges,in Dammam,my Master's degree from Riyadh University. As for my Phd. in Islamic History,I got that at Dammam girls' College.I have done my research in the Library of congress in Washington D.C.,in Morrocc and Egypt.
In Spain ,I attended the EXPO exhibition, and it always made me feel strong as a muslim with so much history. That civilisation would have not been possible if it were not for the greatness of Islam.
I would like to note here that I have done all that while covered in my Islamic attire,it does not stop one from attaining as much knowledge as possible.
People in the States used to stop me and wonder why I was dressed that way, even my English language tutor over there, a nun called Miss Betty used to wonder at the things I told her about Islam in my, then, weak English language. She even took me over to a neighbor who was asking about islam and about our Muslim dress, and I was able alhamdulillah to give a positive idea of Isam and muslims.
What I would like to add here is that a woman's modesty and keeping within the Islamic rules do not constrict her studying, giving and love for knowledge.

PROFILE of: Manan Abdul Hakeem al-Arabee
Occupation: Abstarct Artist
I am a young self-made artist who had studied in Riyadh,at King Abdul-Aziz University for three years my major was kindergarten teaching, but I had to pursue my own love of art so I returned home(Al-Khobar) to start my own career as an abstract artist.I have also taken a diploma in Computer Basics and Networking.
I started to draw ever since I remember(dad always got us paper and colors and urged us to draw)...I draw all the time but the best time I do is when I am really upset !! As most artist do since art is the best way to vent excess feelings....
I get updated and get all my information from art programs and art magazines.
For my art I use pastel colours ,many have tried to make me turn to oil painting but i find I can work best with pastel colors since they are soft and really delicate and have no strong smell (the smell of oil paints bothers me).
My hobbies are many :
I love making dolls and puppets, reading, cooking, making abstract shapes using aluminum paper and gypsum...soon you will be able to see some of my work online inshallah!!
